The Eiger (3970 m (13025 ft)) is a mountain in the Bernese Alps in Switzerland. It's fearsome North Face is known as the ultimate challenge to Climbers, and not long ago, it used to take several days to negotiate it and hundreds of lives were lost in the attempt. In Spring 2011, the Swiss Speed Climber Ueli Steck negotiated the treacherous North Face in a phenomenal 2 Hours 47 Minutes! Why are we showing this here?
